Factory Manager
Our client, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of dart boards and darts is seeking to recruit a Factory Manager to
ensure Quality Assurance Standards are strictly followed within the
factory setting. The ideal candidate must have excellent technical and
leadership skills. She/he will oversee the manufacturing process and
make sure that production lines are running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Preparing orders, setting quality standards and estimating timescales and costs
- Monitoring production schedules and adjusting them if problems occur
- Work closely with the Environmental Health and Safety Manager to ensure all members of the manufacturing team are aware of safety policies to provide a safe workplace for our employees.
- Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to insure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible.
- Coordinate the hiring and training of all manufacturing personnel.
- Monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.
- Remove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals
- Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiency and enhance productivity.
- Communicate with research and development as well as product management personnel to develop new product strategies.
Experience requirement:
- Minimum 5 years experience in similar role
- Minimum of a Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering
Additional Qualifications
- Must have proven man management skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance and engineering.
- Must have an understanding of scheduling and production targets
- The ideal candidate requires a hands-on approach with an ability to problem solve
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Proven track record in a high pressure manufacturing environment
