Factory Manager

Our client, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of dart boards and darts is seeking to recruit a Factory Manager to ensure Quality Assurance Standards are strictly followed within the factory setting. The ideal candidate must have excellent technical and leadership skills. She/he will oversee the manufacturing process and make sure that production lines are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Preparing orders, setting quality standards and estimating timescales and costs
  • Monitoring production schedules and adjusting them if problems occur
  • Work closely with the Environmental Health and Safety Manager to ensure all members of the manufacturing team are aware of safety policies to provide a safe workplace for our employees.
  • Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to insure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible.
  • Coordinate the hiring and training of all manufacturing personnel.
  • Monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.
  • Remove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals
  • Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiency and enhance productivity.
  • Communicate with research and development as well as product management personnel to develop new product strategies.
Experience requirement:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in similar role
  • Minimum of a Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering
Additional Qualifications
  • Must have proven man management skills.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance and engineering.
  • Must have an understanding of scheduling and production targets
  • The ideal candidate requires a hands-on approach with an ability to problem solve
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Proven track record in a high pressure manufacturing environment
