Finance Officer-Financial Services

PECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Finance Officer-Financial Services will perform the following duties:
a) Processing of PPI and reconciliation of supplier accounts
b) Preparation of bank reconciliation statements
c) Reconciliation of staff accounts and monthly distribution of personal accounts statements to staff
d) Maintenance of the fixed assets register and ensuring that depreciation is charged on a monthly basis and is reconciled to the relevant balance sheet accounts
e) Management and coordination of the inter-company accounts with HQ
f) Reconciliation of IC suspense account
g) Raise invoices for income other than project income
h) Process expense claims for cost center related expenses
OTHER DUTIES
a) Develop capacity of non-finance staff on IUCN & relevant donor financial management guidelines, policies and procedures.
b) Carry out any other duties that may be assigned by supervisors from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
• First degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Relevant professional qualification in accounting – CPA, ACCA level II, CIMA preferred.At least 3 years relevant work experience in similar capacity with a recognized regional or international development agency.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Working knowledge of Kiswahili and another AU/IUCN/Regional language would be an added advantage.
• Working Knowledge of use of ERP-Navision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Maintains High personal integrity and confidentiality.
• Result oriented person with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining work relationships in the face of conflicting demands.Excellent relationship management and communication skills with the ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
• A confident and positive attitude with excellent cultural awareness and sensitivity.
• Willingness to travel.
• A self-starter who requires minimum supervision.
