Head of Sales
Our client, a leading worldwide manufacturer and distributor of
protective packaging systems that apply plastic and steel strapping is
seeking to recruit a Head of Sales to
play a fundamental role in developing future growth, and provide
vision, direction and leadership. The candidate will be responsible for
heading the Sales team as well as have both strategic and operational
responsibilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the overall operations of newly acquired channel accounts and ensure compliance to channel contractual agreement requirements
- Provide direction to the Sales Department
- Identifying opportunity and saturated market
- Competitors’ activity monitoring
- Daily escalation of market findings and issues affecting trade
- Build key relationships and secure deals for the organization through targeted relationship building and networking
- Manage sales staff in the region and contract sales force against their set targets
- Maximizes sales margin by recommending product and service pricing policies.
- Work closely with the members of the Sales team to ensure the most effective use of resource is upheld to meet targets and objectives across sales
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Masters/Degree in Sales and Marketing or related field.
- Minimum 0f 7 years experience in a similar role/industry
- Extensive knowledge of the industry
- Proven track record of successfully closing deals with new accounts.
- Possess strong time management skills, preferably with project management skills/experience.
- Be commercially aware and have excellent presentation, sales & negotiation skills.
- Should be confident, self-motivated, self-disciplined and driven to succeed.
- Possess a high degree of flexibility.
- Willing to travel and stay away (infrequently but as and when required).
