Brief Description

  1. The Graduate Management Program is an 18 month exciting development program that will see you grow and gain knowledge, skills and exposure to work within any dynamic environment.
  2. We will present you with opportunities to work on challenging assignments and projects that will open and expose you to new ideas and enable you identify new ways of delivering results.
  3. We are looking for inspired, intelligent, innovative and confident graduates who are ready to bring in independent thinking whilst working collectively with different business teams.
  4. You will be assigned to a Coach, who will guide you through the Graduate Management Program.
Detailed Description  

  • Participate as an active member in the Safaricom Graduate Management Program;
  • Take responsibility for and commit to continuous self-development throughout the program in order to achieve a high level of competence as outlined by the program specifications;
  • Observe all Safaricom policies, procedures and demonstrate Safaricom Way behaviors and values;
  • Adapt to different working environments, teams and cultures;
  • Make sound, effective and timely decisions within the program scope;
  • Be positive, courageous and seek opportunities to learn and develop;
  • Inspire and influence others;
  • Work with the assigned coach to perform and exceed set expectations;
  • Attend and pass all core training prerequisites and programs within the specified time-frames;
  • Successfully manage and complete all assigned projects and assessments as per program requirements and schedule;
  • Commit to be available to work in any part of the business during the program and be placed in any department within the business aligned to the GMP;
  • Work with the assigned Coach to identify innovations and business improvement opportunities;
  • Willingly and continuously share knowledge and learning with program peers as well as coaches ;
  • Accurately maintain and update a personal portfolio of all learning received.
Job Requirements
Must have graduated with an upper Second Class honors Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited University between January 2014 and December 2015 in the following fields;

  • Telecommunication and IT;
  • Economics;
  • Business administration;
  • Marketing;
  • Human resource management.
  • Procurement ;
  • Finance and Accounting;
  • Law;
  • Statistics and Analysis ;
  • Environmental and social science;
  1. Masters students should have graduated in 2014 or planning to graduate in 2015 and must have no more than 1 year of professional working experience
  2. Additional Professional Qualifications required for Finance include CPA (K), or ACCA
  3. Innovation hungry, Ambitious and a team player;
  4. A person who can work with urgency, find new solutions and deliver the promise;
  5. Tech Savvy and analytical;
  6. Focused, flexible, engaging and collaborative;
  7. Self driven and hungry for information;
  8. Demonstrate Leadership Skills, creativity, critical thinking and versatility.

· NB: This position is based in Kenya for Kenyan Citizens.
