MNCH Internship
OBJECTIVE
1. To
assist the Technical Consultant of the Signature Programme (SP) and the Country
Health and HIV/AIDS Advisor in the Design phase of the multi-year SP.
2. To assist in the conduct of baseline surveys,
specific thematic studies, liaison, Design workshops, partner engagements as
assigned.
ACTIVITIES
The following
activities will be accomplished
- Assist in the organization
of an all-inclusive partners’ workshops to design the SP
- Field visits
with consultants and participation in baseline surveys, specific thematic
studies.
- Support in the
analysis of consultants’ expressions of interests.
- Support
troubleshooting and local implementation partner identification
DURATION
Eight (8) months: May
to Dec, 2013.
REPORTING
The incumbent will
be directly responsible to the Country Health and HIV/AIDS Advisor and
indirectly to the Technical Consultant - Signature Programme.
CRITERIA FOR
ELIGIBILITY
·
Applicants must be Kenyan nationals
who must be willing to commit to this eight months programme
·
Must have graduated in the past one
year from a reputable university/college accredited by the Ministry of Higher
Education
·
Applicants must have B.Sc.
Environmental Health, Public Health or Nursing
·
Applicants must be between the age of
22 years – 27 years
Location
The successful intern
will be located within Save the Children office in Nairobi.
This internship
programme does not provide any salary or benefits but provides a small monthly
stipend.
