The Diocese of Lodwar invites applications from experienced persons to fill a vacancy of a Water Technician (1 post)

Position: Water Technician
Project: Turkana Water Project
Reporting to: Project Coordinator
Position: Water Technician
Duty Station: Lodwar, Kenya
Date: 12th April, 2013
Closing Date: 25th April, 2013

The successful candidate must have relevant training and experience repairing and fixing water pumps. S/he should also posses’ knowledge in electrical installations of the water pumps.

Key duties and responsibilities:-
§ Assisting in the design of water projects
§ Supervision of projects in the field
§ Preparation of monthly reports and handing over to the Project Coordinator
§ Taking donors to the projects of their interest
§ Accompanying evaluation teams to the field
§ Any other official duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements
§ Diploma in Grounds Water Technology or Water Engineering.
§ Ready to camp and work in any part of Turkana County.
§ Three years experience in design office and or drilling team.
§ Honest and ready to work in the field with minimum supervision.
§ A recommendation letter from the parish priest.
