Production Development Executive
Our client a leading edible manufacturing company in the world has excellent career
opportunity for Kenya individual who possess a passion for manufacturing, service excellence,
strong work ethics, are committed to continual improvement and are result oriented. Our
client is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced applicant to fill the positions.
The candidates must have worked in a foods factory and specifically handled the following areas:
1. Bottling or canning lines(PET bottles or Glass Bottles )
2. FFS machines mainly for powders or granulated products
3. Thick viscous products filling ( PET bottles or Cans)
4. Labellers and coding machines
5. Energy management and conservation activities
6. Boiler and other utilities operation
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE (TWO POSITIONS)
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop procedures and strategies to support, create, maintain and manage quality assurance processes
and guidelines and ensure operational efficiency. He/She will also be expected to investigate, analyze and
resolve problems that have potential of affecting the effective and efficient performance of the company.
ROLE
Direct the implementation of new products from definition phase through implementation.
Evaluate existing products for quality continuation, modification or withdrawal.
Participate in the development/design and direct implementation of all modifications to existing products.
Perform market research and recommend new products and/or modifications to existing products.
Researches, recommends and executes new innovative concepts, ingredients, delivery formats,
or packaging designs to develop new and improve existing Company Brands products
Plans,coordinates and conducts all sensory and physical evaluations of potential new & existing products requirements
Participate in solving quality challenges and customer complaints
Work cooperatively with cross‐functional teams like marketing, production, procurement to fulfill product requirements.
Take part in NPD committee meetings, material developments , product packaging development etc
Desired Skills & Experience
Advanced understanding and knowledge of product formulations, manufacturing, packaging and testing applications of food products
Highly organized and self-directed with strong planning & management skills, initiative and driveto meet and exceed departmental and organizational objectives
Have capability of utilizing market intelligence and understanding market trends to provide appropriate solutions.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements / compliances shall be an added advantage
Ability to interpret a Bill of Materials (BOM).
CoMmunicates with clarity, verbally and in one on one or group situations.
Ability to excel in a cross‐functional team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Academic Qualifications
University degree in Food science, Chemistry or equivalent with knowledge of food product development.
