POSITION: ACCOUNT EXECUTIVES- MEDICAL DEPARTMENT FINANCE

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for Account Executives. The post holder will
report to the Underwriting Manager in the Medical Department and will be based in Nairobi,
Kenya.

Role Purpose
Underwriting, vetting, set up, renewal, servicing and support, documentation and management
of schemes on Actisure and handling of related queries from clients and intermediaries on
existing schemes
Responsibilities
1. Ensure accurate setting up and managing of membership details in Actisure for accounts
allocated within TAT’s set
2. Ensure correct, prompt debiting and dispatch of premiums invoices and the
renewal/commencement premium schedules to the client/intermediary.
3. Co-ordinate with the customer service team on preparation of medical photo cards for all
eligible members and ensure same is done with the TAT’s required.
4. Handling queries from walk in clients, brokers, agents. Ensuring customer satisfaction and
timely feedback to queries for the portfolio managed
5. Follow through the reports required by client/intermediary within the expected TATs and
SLA e.g. claims analysis report, member statements, etc
6. Preparing policy documents and endorsements and dispatch of the same to the relevant
client within the stipulated TAT’s.
7. Support duties for the underwriters as directed by Senior Underwriter and/or Underwriting
Manager
8. Ensure printing and dispatch of premium debits/credits and reconciliations of schemes
managed promptly, correctly and efficiently within TAT’s in place.
9. Handle reconciliation of premiums where disputes arise
10. Handle reconciliation of membership data to ensure accuracy with the client/intermediary’s
data
11. Ensure monthly reporting on lost schemes, renewed schemes, pending schemes.
12. Any other duties that may be assigned by the management.
13. To provide dedicated support and comprehensive service to Intermediaries and clients,
acting as the primary point of contact for them and deliver the highest level of customer
care to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
14. Organize and attend meetings with clients and intermediaries e.g. for member education,
health talks, review reports etc. Also make loyalty calls to clients / intermediaries and
ensure they are happy / satisfied.
15. To respond to all incoming queries and emails from intermediaries. Work closely
with related departments to ensure a smooth customer journey.
16. Handle renewal process and secure the schemes renewals assigned to the portfolio. Ensure
renewal terms are signed off and discussed with the HOD & dispatched 60 days prior to
renewal
17. Client interactions - to be able to deal with our customers face to face as walk ins or when
we visit clients
18. Investigation - The role requires investigation of issues, an ability to recognize trends of
issues and where other processes are going wrong – being proactive in recommending
solutions. This requires some business acumen. The team member will be expected to take
ownership and seek to resolve queries from business customers.
19. Provide the necessary support to intermediary by training them on the medical products
20. Support on premium and excess collection
21. Premium volume increase through organic growth by selling additional benefits and
enhancements – 10%

Qualification and Experience

Academic Qualifications
1. Graduate in business related degree (marketing, commerce, insurance, economics)
2. Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite and packages
3. Professional insurance certificates/ diplomas/ advanced diploma
