Center Coordinator


Little Steps, a Childcare Center for children 3 months to 5 years of age, is looking to fill the position of a Center Coordinator

Position Objectives
- Coordinating general operations of the daycare center in line with company’s methods and standards
- Ensuring the center’s compliance with government guidelines and regulations and global industry best practices
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all enrolled children at all times
- Implementing daily curriculum in-line with age group development standards
- Guiding caregivers in appropriate child development and stimulation
- Providing effective and efficient leadership for staff members
- Developing and maintaining positive and productive working relationships with the management team, the staff, enrolled children's families, and the wider community
- Overseeing the maintenance and cleanliness of the center
- Managing the activity supplies and food and beverage supply to eliminate wastage and ensure proper usage
- Coordinating the staff's daily, weekly, and monthly work schedules
- Being the first point of communication with children’s families regarding any issues or concerns and working to resolve those issues in a prompt and professional manner
- Directly liaising with and reporting to the management team regarding the operations of the center and feedback from families and staff
- Participating in promotional events and schedule center tours for prospective parents and corporate clients from time to time as per guidance from the management team
- Assisting the management team in implementing any new policies or procedures, curriculum changes, or any additional assignments that may arise from time to time

 
Qualifications Required
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development Education (ECD or ECDE) or Montessori required
- Diploma in Business Administration or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration a plus
- 5+ years’ experience as an Early Childhood Development or Montessori teacher required
- 2+ years’ experience in a management role of a 5+ member team required
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a grade of C+ or above required
- Certificate of Good Conduct required
- Fast, accurate typing ability and knowledge of computers required
- Must be enthusiastic, energetic, personable and friendly
- Oral, reading, and written fluency in English required
- CPR and First aid certification a plus
