POSITION: BANCASSURANCE OFFICER- MEDICAL DEPARTMENT FINANCE

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for Bancassurance Officer. The post holder
will report to the Business Development Manager in the Medical Department and will be based
in Nairobi, Kenya.
Role Purpose
To source and grow the Bancassurance Business and deliver the set Bancassurance sales
budget
Responsibilities
1. Management of the Bancassurance Business Distribution Channel so as to ensure the
following objectives are met by maintaining production revenue budget through:
o Increasing the number of Bancassurance Business distribution channel partners
o Attain product revenue targets
o Ensure profitability of the relevant channel at appropriate cost levels
2. Develop and manage alternative partnerships within the department
3. Management of the Bancassurance Business Development Partners Loyalty (incentive)
Programs to drive the following business goals: -
o Number of Bancassurance Business channel partners
o Achieve Revenue targets
o Manage Bancassurance Business support levels to
o Come up with and implement incentive programs to realize the loyalty of partners
o Provide Training support for Bancassurance Business distribution channel partners
4. Managing an efficient sales cycle (sales pipeline) and value based service cycle through use
of Product Bundling to drive the following business goals for Bancassurance Business
distribution channel: -
o Identify Banks’ Target customer and other channels
o Meeting to determine various Bank’s (and other channels) Clientele needs
o Timely proposal and quotation submission
o Client acquisition through the Jubilee ROs and Bank’s (and other channels) Sales
Team.
5. Log all Bancassurance Business channel feedback that is aimed at identifying new business
potential.
6. Identify markets for the Bancassurance Business distribution channels for the
Bancassurance products.
7. Ensure that proper management of accurate, quality and timely business reports from the
Bancassurance Business Distribution Channel and use these to compile channel reports for
review by BDM.
8. Gather intelligence on competitor activity and advise the BDM on opportunities/threats that
are presented by such activities.
9. Regularly report the performance of Alternative Distribution Channel section in accordance
with applicable structures and ensure the section is fully aligned with the rest of the
department by building effective teamwork within the section and with other departments
(i.e. Documented Alternative Distribution Channel processes and SLA’s with various Banks &
Departments)
Key Deliverables
1. Growth of the Bancassurance premium income under Bancassurance Business channel
2. Retention of the existing Bancassurance Business channel partners
Qualification and Experience
Academic Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/ Sales, Business, economic, Commerce, Insurance or
equivalent from a recognized university.
2. Professional certification in Sales, Insurance, marketing or any other relevant field will
be an added advantage.
