We currently have an exciting career opportunity for Direct Sales Representative. The post
holder will report to Head of Marketing & E-commerce and will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
 
Role Purpose
Responsible for procuring new business by converting business leads to sales and cross-selling/
up-selling to existing customers in full compliance with the laid down procedures and guidelines
as set out in the company’s policy.
 
Responsibilities
1. Personally contacts and secures new business accounts/customers.
2. Promotes/sells/secures new business from existing and prospective customers through a
relationship-based approach
3. Cross-sell and up-sell retail products to existing customers
4. Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and
prospective
5. Customers to generate new business
6. Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presents to existing and prospective
customers
7. Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine
their potential
8. Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for prospective customers
9. Plans and organizes personal sales weekly and monthly plans in order to achieve assigned
target.
10. Gather market intelligence.
11. Monitoring and evaluation:
a) Submit daily, weekly and monthly performance reports
b) Maintain a log of all sales activity results
c) Contribute a passion and ongoing knowledge of sales a key member of the marketing
team
d) Innovation – Ensure the company remains on the cutting edge of trends & techniques in
sales generation.

Qualification and Experience
Academic Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/ Sales, Business, economic, Commerce, Insurance or
equivalent from a recognized university.
2. Professional certification in Sales, Insurance, marketing or any other relevant field will
be an added advantage.
3. IT proficient

Experience
One year experience in Sales/ Marketing will be an added advantage.
