Programme Manager – ICT for Trade


The Programme Manager – ICT for Trade will support the Director, ICT for Trade and Transport Facilitation in rolling out programmes and developing appropriate project planning and implementation mechanisms and systems for Alternative System to Secure Trade (ASSET). S/he will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders in ensuring an up to date and efficient procurement pipeline for ASSET and related projects.
The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in Business Information Technology or a related field. In addition, s/he must have a minimum of five years’ work, three of which must be in web-based programming on multi-user/distributed systems, system integration and project management. Knowledge of Windows/Unix, web application programming and PHP/MySQL, ASP.Net/MS SQL Server, ASP 3.0, Java and desktop programming languages is essential.

This is a demanding environment and requires candidates with strong organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and work under pressure amidst competing demands. The positions are available on initial 2-year contracts with attractive salary and benefit packages, and are based in Nairobi, Kenya with occasional travel around East Africa.
