Programme Officer – ICT, Kenya


The Programme Officer – ICT will support the Programme Manager to ensure successful delivery of ICT projects and activities which include Single Window Information for Trade (SWIFT), Alternative System to Secure Trade (ASSET) and the Transport Observatory Project. S/he will assist in conducting baseline surveys and in monitoring and evaluating ICT projects to ensure that target results are achieved. In addition, the Programme Officer will also participate in simplifying the complex ICT projects into ‘easy to read’ communication materials and reports for distribution to various stakeholders.
The successful candidate will possess strong analytical, research, report writing and problem solving skills. The individual must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. S/he will possess an undergraduate degree preferably in Social Sciences, Business Administration or other related field. In addition, the individual must have a minimum of five years’ programme support work experience. Previous experience with international organisations particularly with donors or donor-funded projects is desirable. This is a demanding environment and requires candidates with strong organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and work under pressure amidst competing demands. The positions are available on initial 2-year contracts with attractive salary and benefit packages, and are based in Nairobi, Kenya with occasional travel around East Africa.
