Sales and Marketing Officer


LVCT Training Institute is registered by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Reg. No. MOHEST/ PC/1552/011, accredited by the National AIDS & STI Control Program (NASCOP) to offer HIV related courses and Kenya Counselling Association (KCA) as a Counselling and Training Institute. WEMA Kazini is LVCT’s comprehensive workplace HIV and wellness programme that has offered services to over 100 workplaces. 

LVCT Training Institute wishes to recruit a qualified and experienced staff to fill the position of a Sales and Marketing Officer

Job Summary

The Sales and Marketing Officer shall report to the Training Institute Manager. The Officer shall plan, develop, and implement a wide-ranging and inventive marketing, public relations, and promotion of programmes aimed at increasing the awareness and demand of LVCT Training Institute and WEMA Kazini Products and Services. She/he will be responsible for directing the business opportunities of the Training Institute and ensuring sustainability of the institution’s products in the educational market. She/he will work with the WEMA Kazini team to identify opportunities and market it alongside the Training Institute.

Key Roles and responsibilities
  • Conduct market surveys to ensure that the Training Institute strategically positions itself in the market
  • Champion creation, development and implementation of marketing strategies that will drive the institute’s public awareness, drive traffic and generate revenue
  • Deliver on set sales volumes and monitor the Training Institute revenue targets
  • Analyze sales trends and variances and advise management accordingly
  • Generate ideas for the Institute’s products development and contribute in building and maintaining a positive brand image of the Institute and its products
  • Work with the WEMA Kazini team to support WEMA Kazini branding and marketing alongside the Training Institute 
Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing. PR, Advertising or any other related course from a recognized Institution.
  • At least three (3) years’ proven experience in Sales & Marketing preferably from a recognised training/school institution
  • IT savvy
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, report writing and presentation skills
  • Target driven, results oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to handle pressure and close business deals
