The Position
The Aga Khan Academy, Mombasa is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School located on the east coast of Kenya. We provide students from all backgrounds with education of the highest standard ' from primary to secondary levels ' in order to prepare them for lives characterised by leadership and service. All three IB programmes (PYP, MYP, DP) are offered.

We invite applications from qualified registered teachers with substantial teaching experience for the following teaching posts. Candidates having familiarity with the IB Programmes will be particularly welcome.
  • HoD Physical Education

  • English Teacher (Senior School)

  • Science Teacher ' Chemistry (Senior School) with possibility of HoD role

  • University Counselor

  • Mathematics Teacher (Senior School)

  • PYP Classroom Teacher

  • The Requirements

    The ideal candidate will have the following profile:

    Required Attributes
  • University degree in education.

  • Substantial and successful teaching experience.


  • Valued Attributes
  • Experience in IB curriculum (minimum 5 years for HoD positions).
  • Experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Experience working in the developing world.
  • Experience with residential programmes is an advantage.
  • Commitment to the co-curricular life of the school is expected.
