Introduction
​Aga Khan University was established in 1983 as an international university with an objective to promote human welfare in general, and the welfare of the people in the countries in which it operates, by disseminating knowledge and providing instruction, training, research and service in the health sciences, education and such other branches of learning as the University may determine.

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of ​Advisor, Communications.
Responsibilities
​Located in East Africa, the incumbent will consult with individual University entities to develop and implement communication plans that meet their communication needs and the overall goals of the University’s strategic communication plan. S/he will create and manage the production of related communication materials. The incumbent values customer service, is able to find creative solutions to problems, is goal-oriented and dead-line driven and has the ability to work with disparate groups.
Requirements
​Applicants should:
  • hold a Masters Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing or related field
  • have at least 5 years’ experience in corporate communications, media or not-for-profit/ development communications
  • have excellent English writing and editing skills
  • be able to think strategically and translate complex ideas for a variety of audiences
  • be able to manage projects independently with a strong customer service focus
  • have knowledge of local and international market
Experience with an advertising agency is preferred.
