Head of Finance/Accounts

St. Lukes Orthopaedic and Trauma Hospital is a leading specialist Health care provision centre situated in Eldoret Town along Nandi road opposite Moi University School of Dentistry. (About 0.5 km from Eldoret Town). We seek for suitably qualified and experienced Kenyan citizen who is dynamic, self motivated and results oriented with excellent transferable skills, high integrity and a proven track record of achievement in the past roles for the Position.

Head of Finance/Accounts
Reporting to: The Hospital administrator

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Take care of day to day running of the department.
2. Implementation of hospital policies as appertains to the department.
3. Supervises the staff in the department.
4. Attend and present department reports to the senior management.
5. Prepare budgets and financial forecast.
6. Credit and budget controls.
7. Undertake corporate clients' appraisal and advice on their accounts performance.
8. Authorizes payments in consultation with the senior management.
9. Advices the management on financial issues.

Minimum Qualifications:
Interested candidates should have the following qualifications:
1. At least a first degree in accounting or finance from a recognized university.
2. Must be Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant.
3. Have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
4. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight schedule under minimum supervision.
5. A team player with good analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Be dynamic, self-motivated and results oriented.
7. Ability to head and supervise a minimum of 10 accounting personnel.
8. Be proficient in computer applications
9. MBA in accounting or finance and previous experience in hospital will be an added advantage.
10. Certificate of good conduct.
