Administrative Assistant – Grant Writing Function
Kenyatta University wishes to recruit qualified and dedicated applicants for the following vacant position:
i. Administrative Assistant – Grant Writing Function - Grade C/D
Applicants must be holders of KCE division II/ KCSE mean grade C+ and above. Applicants must be holders of Bachelors degree in any social science discipline. In addition the applicant must have at least one (1) year work experience.
Applicants with the following qualities will have added advantage:
Technical writing skills
Editing and formatting on electronic platforms
Communications skills
Familiarity with information management systems11
Duties of Grant Writing Function include the following:
Support writing, reviewing and submission of grant proposals
Maintaining an efficient archiving system for donor agencies, calls for proposals, proposal submitted and approved grants
Review periodic and final project technical reports to ensure quality control
Ensure grantees comply with agreed reporting schedules and other requirements
Support publicity aspects for grant projects including profiling of projects on university website and other outlets
Respond to any queries from donors regarding technical reports
Terms of Service:
The terms of service for the above include a generous medical scheme, house allowance and commuting allowance. Successful candidates will be offered two (2) year renewable performance - based contract and gratuity will be paid at the end of the contract.
