Position: Learning and Gender Manager
Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Our client is a leading youth, social enterprise organisation that is headquartered in Canada. The organisation focuses on harnessing and transforming youth into leaders in their communities through technology and social entrepreneurship learning  experiences. The position is based in Nairobi.

To meet the needs of new programmes, the Organization wishes to recruit for the position of Learning & Gender Manager. This position reports to The Country  Director. Learning Officer reports to this position.

Key responsibilities include:
• Collaboration in curriculum development at all levels
• Contribute to curriculum development and localising
• Design, develop and implement pilot mini projects
• Develop feedback tools and systems and carry out test runs
• Develop a manual on best practices and implement
• Identify and match the learners to the development/learning programs
• Participate in fund raising and identification of scholarships
• Design methods for sharing knowledge and information within the programmes national learning events
• Be lead facilitators in learning programmes
• Ensure best practise and monitor quality
• Management, briefing and debriefing of facilitators
• Learning venues identification and ensuring appropriateness
• Contribution to organisation’s Resource library and development of data bases.

Pre-requisites 
• Bachelors degree or professional equivalent in social science or business/entrepreneurial management
• A Training of Trainer Certificate
• Membership to Professional Training Association of Kenya (PTAK) is an added advantage.

Personality Traits
• Excellent oral communication in Swahili and English
• Excellent report writing skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Strong personal organization and planning skills
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
